Happy Hunger Games Week
Teen tech week was a success here in the library. We had 108 book reviews submitted by middle school students. Also, our "Technology We Like" bulletin board demonstrated that the middle school students enjoy technology so much, that it cannot be contained on one board!
Next week, March 19th through the 23rd, we will be celebrating Happy Hunger Games week. In honor of the release of the motion picture version of Suzanne Collins' bestselling novel, The Hunger Games, we will be having a contest for middle and high school students.
Each day there will be different question posted in the library that will be based on the Hunger Games book. Students visiting the library can answer the questions, and the correct answers to all of the questions will be pulled together for a "reaping" style drawing, where one boy and one girl will be selected to win a prize.

Teen Tech Week
We will be celebrating Teen Tech Week in the library next Monday through next Friday, because our lives are full of amazing technology that we are able to use for fun and for school. This week, students were introduced to a contest, in which students are busy reviewing books on Destiny in order to be entered to win a small technology related prize! No telling what the prize is, but the more books you review, the more times your name will be entered. Also, don't forget that your review must be at least three sentences long!
Also, check out the Technology We Like bulletin board in the library. The post-its are taking over the wall! What technology will be crowned as favorite of the middle school? You will have to check out the bulletin board during Teen Tech Week to see for yourself.
Finally, check out the middle school showcase for some books to help teach you about some the different types of technology that we use.
