It seems as though everyone these days has an iPad. Now, the library can include itself in the elite group of people owning the popular Apple device. I look forward to finding ways to work the iPad into the everyday workings of the library and the library lessons!

Book to Movie News!

I have caught wind recently of some interesting news about some of our favorite books and their movie adaptations.  Of course, all of the books, Divergent, Catching Fire, and City of Bones, can be found here at the library!

1.  The movie adaptation of Divergent by Veronica Roth is set to start production in April in Chicago!  Check out this article for more information. 

2.  Hunger Games fans can now view some new photos from the filming of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie, like the one below of Katniss and Finnick.  The movie is set to be released in November of this year and you can see more photos by visiting the movie's IMDB site.


3. The movie adaption of City of Bones by Cassandra Clare is in post-production and will hitting theaters August 23, 2013, which will be here sooner than you think.  Watch the movie trailer below; It will have you counting down the days until August!

The books purchased with the funds donated by the AMVETS, Post 172 are nearly ready to be checked out! With the donation, we were able to purchase over eighty books to update our library.  As you can see in the photo above, we selected books about science, technology, history, current issues, health, and research, as well as other topics.  We even were able to use the funds to update our materials on the Armed Forces.  Thank you, AMVETS, for your donation!
