Welcome Back!

The whirlwind that is the first week of school is wrapping up.  The library is back in business, checking out books and providing lessons for middle and high school students.  While much of library operation is the same, here is a brief list of things that are new:

  • In order to obtain a IL library pass, high school students must visit the library before homeroom or between class.  No passes will be given at the beginning of IL.
  • There are new kindle contracts to sign in order to get a kindle.  Get one in the library or print one from the district's library website.
  • Signs can be found at the beginning of the middle school and high school fiction sections that list books available on the kindles.
  • We have many new kindle books, and we will be getting more at the year progresses!  We welcome suggestions for kindle books, so tell us what you want to read!
  • We also have new books for our shelves including:
    • Two Crafty Criminals by Philip Pullman
    • Ted & Me by Dan Gutman
    • Applewhites at Whit's End by Stephanie Tolan
    • Fenway Fever by John H. Ritter
    • Crush by Gary Paulsen
    • On the Day I Died by Candace Fleming
    • Such Wicked Intent by Kenneth Oppel
    • Rush for the Gold by John Feinstein
    • Deadly Pink by Vivian Vande Velde
    • Keep Holding On by Susane Colasanti
    • Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
It's going to be a good year!
